Back in 2003, the first full year that I was working as a minister in Wicker Park, I was interviewed for a “Spiritual Journey” segment on a Chicago TV show called 30 Good Minutes.

In the video I tell the story of my separation from Christianity as a teenager, and years later feeling welcomed at a Christian church for the first time. What I didn’t mention was that I was 35 years old when that happened! Being invited to communion, I felt God, Jesus, and the church welcoming me. It began a healing journey for me as I re-engaged the faith of my childhood.

30 Good Minutes is upgrading all these old clunky videos and posting them on YouTube. Mine just went up a couple days ago!
